Research Interests:

Hypertension, abnormal glucose tolerance, obesity, hypertriglyceridemia, low high-density cholesterol disease, often combined with hyperinsulinemia and insulin resistance phenomenon, this group always portfolio increased atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease incidence and mortality. Engaged in the research and type 2 diabetes that is non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (Non-Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus, NIDDM) related to basic and clinical research, mainly on endothelin-1 (Endothelin-1) in the hypertensive patients with insulin resistance pathogenesis of the role played by. Study results include:

(1) Endothelin-1 inhibited rat insulin on fat cells by promoting a glucose transport in vitro, and this inhibition is primarily through the endothelin A receptor

(2) Endothelin-1 in vivo perfusion cause of insulin resistance in rats

(3) Feeding fructose-induced hypertension in rats, the tail artery in the endothelin-1 and A-type receptor gene expression have increased significantly phenomenon

(4) Island-impedance of the rats, their fat cells Resistin gene expression suppress the case. Current research focuses on the development of genetic epidemiology of diabetes clinical research, endothelin-1 in insulin signal impedance of the transmission mechanism of fat cell hormone and insulin resistance related to the relevance, and endothelin antagonist of the relevant role - to its prevention and treatment. Ji its combination of genetic epidemiology, the health, physiology, pharmacology and the multiple discussion on hypertension associated with insulin resistance for a more in-depth understanding.
